Where there is little room for curtains at a window or when a clean and uncluttered look is called for, a good alternative is to use blinds. There are 2 broad categories of blinds: fabric or non-fabric. Fabric blinds like Roman, Panel and Soft blinds are suitable for contemporary room settings while Austrian and Festoon blinds blend in well with classical interiors. These fabric blinds allow you to select from a varied combination of textiles, patterns and colours. For non-fabric blinds like Roller, Venetian and Vertical blinds, choice of materials is limited – polyester, timber, PVC, etc. However, non-fabric blinds are highly recommended for commercial use in view of their robustness and ease of maintenance.
